The Street Outreach Service operates in several locations in Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales and provides harm minimisation, support, information, referrals and crisis intervention to individuals who may be homeless on the streets or otherwise at risk. The patrols are staffed by trained volunteers and provide drinks and snacks, emotional support where required, transport where young people are otherwise at risk, information on a wide range of issues and available services, information on issues regarding health, social or lifestyle issues, alcohol and other drugs and referrals and connections to other professional agencies. Support is provided by teams of trained and supported volunteers. Contact your local State Office for more information on volunteering for this program.
